Queen Isabela Park

Big open space park to relax This park is located in front Isabela Provincial Capitol in Barangay Alibagu along the National Highway. It is the newest and the biggest park in Ilagan. At the entrance is a fountain, with a statue commemorating Queen Isabela II of Spain. There is no entrance fee. There is a big open air amphitheatre, which can easily occupy hundreds of people. This park is popular among the locals, especially in the evening, where they can hang around and relax in this big arena. I was told by my Filipino friend this amphitheatre is used for arts and cultural performances, concerts and other events for the locals. I was there around 11:30pm on 31 Dec 2015. It was crowded as there was a New Year countdown live concert. There were also children rides, street vendors, besides the lights decoration. I also witnessed the beautiful fireworks at the stroke of midnight (ie 1 Jan 2016). If you are in Ilagan, it is recommended to visit this place.
